Hello, my dear Friends! I haven’t had the change to write anything in the past few weeks due to numerous projects. Now that everything is under control, let do it…

Just like any given Friday, Rosemarry @MelRV and I got ready for our cigar night at Havana ’59 Restaurant located in the Farmer’s Market area in Downtown Richmond, Virginia, aka RVA. This time, however, we’ve planned to attend the Foursquare Day’s celebration at Sheba’s Ethiopian Restaurant, organized by Mary Fender, @MaryFramer, before stopping at Havana ’59.

Rosemarry (@MelRV) and I were invited to the Facebook-DC Herf in Northern Virginia this past Saturday. The original venue for the event was scheduled to be Bailey’s in Arlington, VA (Wilson Blvd), but their smoking room wasn’t ready.
We then arrived at Hard Times Café in Springfield, VA. As we walked in we were directed to the smoking section in the back. The place has a beautiful, spacious area with over 30 LCD screens hanging all over the place. As we were placing our coats behind the bar chairs, we were greeted with a—“we stop allowing cigars here 4 months ago.” We looked at each other and head for the door.

Women & Cigar Smoking

Rosemarry Mel
For a number of years now, I have been smoking cigars socially. In looking around at my usual group whom I most often smoke with, I am always the only woman in the group. At first, I hid the fact that I loved cigars and that I occasionally smoke a nice stogies to those outside my cigar group, but then, why have I hid the fact that I like cigars. The flavor and experience of a cigar is much more fulfilling than that of a cigarette.
